Following a successful return to the concert platform in April this year, Yorkshire Wind Orchestra are taking to the stage once again and are delighted to present a special concert in July. Summertime will  provide audiences with an evening of summer themed music and popular classics at Stephen Hill Methodist Church in Sheffield.

Yorkshire Wind Orchestra is well known for its longstanding tradition of supporting other charities, and this performance is no exception. This concert is in aid of local charity Sheffield Young Carers, who offer support to children and young people in Sheffield who are young carers or are affected by drug and alcohol issues in their family.

Yorkshire Wind Orchestra Chairman, Emma Cordell said: “Whilst Yorkshire Wind Orchestra exists to provide high-quality music making opportunities for its members and fabulous entertainment for our audiences, we take pride in supporting other local charities across the region too. It is wonderful to be returning to Sheffield and we are delighted to be supporting a charity which provides such important support to the local communities.”

The concert will feature a range of well-known and much-loved music, including Summertime (from Porgy and Bess) by George Gershwin, a fun arrangement of Country Gardens by Percy Grainger and Four Dances from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein, as well as compositions by the ensembles Musical Director and Conductor, Keiron Anderson.

Join the orchestra on Saturday 16 July 2022, 7:30pm at Stephen Hill Methodist Church, Sheffield.

Tickets are just £6, available through our website HERE or on the door.
