Interested in joining YWO?

If you are interested in joining the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra please contact the Membership Secretary and, if you meet our basic membership criteria, you’ll be invited along for a trial. We limit numbers in the orchestra for musical reasons so there may not be a place available immediately and you may be added to a dep list.

We play challenging music so, as a guide, potential members should play at approximately at least grade 8 standard, although developing players of a slightly lower standard will be considered in some sections. Ideally you should have some ensemble playing experience.

We rehearse in Wakefield once a fortnight on a Monday evening, from 7:15pm to 9:15pm.
