Sing live UK and the Yorkshire Wind Orchestra present The Armed Man, a Mass for Peace, by Karl Jenkins in a brand new version for chorus and wind orchestra, arranged by Martin Ellerby.

The Armed Man is an acclaimed Mass for Peace commissioned by The Royal Armouries in Leeds to commemorate the Millennium and was dedicated to the victims of the Kosovo crisis.

Tickets £10 adults (£5 children) are available now online from the York Minster box office or by calling 0844 939 0015 (Mon-Sat 9:30am-4:30pm).

This event is expected to be very popular so booking is essential to avoid disappointment.

Saturday 30th October 2010, 7pm

The Yorkshire Wind Orchestra presents a spine-tingling evening of spooky sounds, set in the heart of Leeds, at the City Museum in Millennium Square.

Watch out for ghosts and ghouls as you listen for the Ghost Train, the Phantom of the Opera, the magic of the Sorcerer's Apprentice and Harry Potter and friends!

Come in fancy dress (optional) for a chance to win a prize!

Tickets £10 (£8 concessions) are available now from the Leeds City Museum shop in person (Tues-Fri 10am-5pm and Sat-Sun 11am-5pm) or by calling 0113 395 0351. Accompanied under 10s will be admitted for FREE. Please note only one under 10 will be admitted for FREE per paying adult.

The Armed Man is an acclaimed Mass for Peace commissioned by The Royal Armouries in Leeds to commemorate the Millennium and was dedicated to the victims of the Kosovo crisis. This concert will truly bring The Armed Man home. Having never previously been performed at the Royal Armouries before, the splendour of the venue and the poignancy will be very memorable for all taking part.

We shall also be helping to raise money for Help for Heroes in conjunction with the Armouries and are equally proud to be able to support such a worthy and relevant cause.

The Armed Man is an acclaimed Mass for Peace commissioned by The Royal Armouries in Leeds to commemorate the Millennium and was dedicated to the victims of the Kosovo crisis. The Armed Man can also be seen as a tribute to those who perished in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001, one day after the mass was released to the public.
